Report a profile, a trip or a message
If a profile, a trip, a message or a review on GuideMeet looks fake, abusive or dangerous, tell us. A person reads every report.
If you are in immediate danger, call the local emergency number first. GuideMeet is not an emergency service and cannot send help.
Report by email
What you can report
·
A guide profile: fake identity, stolen photos, invented vehicles or services, an agency posing as an independent guide.
·
A trip: not real, published to collect contacts, dangerous or illegal.
·
A message: spam, threats, harassment, requests for money or documents that make no sense.
·
A review: written by someone who was not on the trip, or in exchange for something.
·
Copied content: your photos or texts used on a GuideMeet profile without your permission.
The fastest way
If you have an account, open the profile or trip page and use "Report or block". The report reaches us with the link to the right content, and blocking stops any further contact immediately.
Blocking alone does not send us a report. If you want us to look into it, do both.
If you cannot use the in-app report
Write to legal@guidemeet.it with "Report" in the subject. Use this route if you do not have an account, if the content has already disappeared, if several profiles are involved, or if you are reporting copied photos or texts.
What to include:
·
The link to the profile, trip or message.
·
What happened, in your own words, with dates.
·
Screenshots, if you have them.
·
Whether the person is still contacting you.
·
For copied content: the link to the original and the link to the copy.
Report copied content
What happens next
·
We read the report and look at the content, the account and, if a conversation is reported, the messages involved.
·
We may ask you for details.
·
Depending on the case: nothing, if we cannot establish a violation; a message to the person; content removed; the profile hidden from search; messaging limited; the account removed.
·
We may not be able to tell you the outcome, because it concerns another person's account.
Reporting in good faith
A report you believe to be true does not break any rule, even if we cannot confirm it. Reports made to damage someone, or repeated for the same thing, do.
If we acted on your account
If your profile was hidden or your account removed and you think it is a mistake, write to legal@guidemeet.it within 14 days, saying what you changed or why we are wrong. Someone other than the person who took the decision reviews it.
