This page explains what guidemeet.it stores in your browser and why. It applies to the website. The mobile apps do not use cookies; the analytics they use are described in the Privacy policy.
What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files a site saves in your browser. On this page the word covers cookies, local storage and pixels alike: anything that lets the site, or a partner, recognise your browser between visits.
Strictly necessary
Always on. Without them the site does not work.

Your sign-in session (Firebase Authentication), so you stay logged in.

Your cookie choice itself, so we do not ask again.

Basic security and abuse prevention.
Analytics
Only if you accept. Firebase Analytics, a Google service, measures which pages are visited, from which country and device, and which actions are taken, for example opening a guide profile or downloading the app. We use it to understand what works and what nobody uses.
The data goes to Google under Google's own terms. Cookies: _ga and similar, kept for up to 24 months.
Advertising measurement
Only if you accept. The Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) tells us whether people who saw a GuideMeet post or ad later visited the site or signed up. It does not show you ads on guidemeet.it.
The data goes to Meta under Meta's own terms. Cookie: _fbp, kept for up to 3 months.
What we do not do

No advertising network on our pages.

No cookies from social buttons: sharing a profile or a trip opens your own app.
Your choice
The banner on your first visit lets you accept or refuse analytics and advertising measurement. Refusing is one click, exactly like accepting.
You can change your mind at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer. Your browser can also block or delete cookies; blocking the necessary ones will log you out.

If we add a tool that sets cookies, we update this page and ask for your choice again.
