GuideMeet

GuideMeet since 2021

Updated 10 October 2026

GuideMeet connects people travelling overland with their own vehicle (4x4, motorcycle, camper, van or bicycle) with independent local guides. It has been online at www.guidemeet.it since December 2021, with the same name and the same purpose.

The dates

6 December 2021: guidemeet.it is online. The first copy kept by the Internet Archive, from that day, is titled "Guidemeet – Find local guides and people to travel with for your 4×4 adventures".

2022: the site stays online with off-road trips and local guides; the Internet Archive keeps copies from January and July 2022.

27 September 2024: GuideMeet LLC is registered in the United States (Delaware). It runs the service and publishes the apps.

22 April 2026: an application to register the GuideMeet trademark is filed in Italy.

Today: 521 independent local guides in 127 countries and 369 open trips (10 October 2026).

Official channels

www.guidemeet.it is the only website of GuideMeet. The apps on the App Store and on Google Play are published by GuideMeet LLC. These are the only accounts we run:

App Store Google Play Instagram TikTok Facebook LinkedIn

Other services using the same name

Any other website, app or social profile that uses the GuideMeet name today is not authorised by us and has nothing to do with GuideMeet. It also came after us: GuideMeet has been on guidemeet.it since December 2021, before any other service active today under this name.

This includes guidemeet.com, a different service run by a different company.

If you signed up somewhere else and cannot find your profile here, that account is not on GuideMeet. Write to us and we will help you.
