If you are a guide and choose to add a licence or registration, we store the country, the number, the name as it appears on the licence and, if you provide them, the issuing authority and expiry date.

Where the licensing authority publishes an official public register, we look up the licence number in that register to check that a licence with that number exists under the same name, and we repeat the check every month. We only query public registers and send them nothing but the number being searched.

If the licence is found, the name, number, category, area and expiry date published in the register are shown on your public profile with the "Licence verified" badge. You can delete a licence at any time from your profile; licences are also deleted with your account.

If you are a guide, we may prepare a draft of your profile from your public channels (for example your website or your public social media pages): photos, a short description, base, countries, vehicles, services and links, each with the page it comes from.

We publish the rest of the draft only if you approve it, from a private link or from your account. We only fill in what is empty and never change what you have already written. If you do not approve it within 14 days, the draft and its photos are deleted.

If you use "Complete your profile with AI", we read the website or social page you give us and the links already on your profile, and we send their public texts and images to OpenAI, which prepares the draft for us. The draft follows the same rules: nothing is published until you approve it.

If your profile is missing a photo or the vehicle you guide with, we may add them ourselves without waiting for your approval, but only from your own sources: as a photo, the logo from your official website or from the Instagram profile listed on your profile; as a vehicle, only what your own texts clearly say. We use OpenAI to recognise logos and vehicles, as for drafts. We never touch a field you have already filled in. We email you straight away with what we added and where it comes from, with a link to change or remove it whenever you like, even without signing in.

If you signed up as a traveler but your website, your description or the public details we contacted you through show that you are a guide or an agency, we may switch on your guide profile ourselves, with the country, base and vehicles those sources clearly state. We email you straight away with what we did and a link to go back to being a traveler whenever you like, even without signing in; you confirm the guide standards yourself the first time you sign in.

If you leave a review for a guide, we store the rating, the text, the month of the trip if you give it, and your name and email. On the guide's profile we only publish your first name with the initial of your surname, the rating, the text and the month; your email never appears.

To publish you need an account: you create it in one tap with Google, or with a link we email you, without a password. We automatically translate the text into the site's languages with OpenAI. The guide can reply publicly and report a review to us; we remove it only if it breaks the rules (insults, personal data, proven falsehoods, irrelevant content), never because the rating is low.

You can edit your review or ask us to delete it, and if you delete your account we delete it with it.

When you create an account on the website, we save in your account where you arrived from on that visit: the source, medium and campaign written in the link you opened (the utm parameters), the domain of the site you came from (for example google.com, not the full address of the page), the page of our site where you came in and how you signed up (email, Google or email link). We use it only to understand which channels bring new sign-ups. We do not use cookies for this and we do not save anything in your browser; this information does not appear on your profile and is deleted together with your account.
