GuideMeet is free, takes no commission and puts you in direct contact with overland travelers. Here is what it takes, and what you get.

Ten minutes if the photos are ready. Profiles missing one of these stay out of the home page and the country pages until completed.

How it works, step by step

Create your profile

From the app or the website. Guide mode is a switch on your profile: turn it on, fill in the checklist, done.

Get found

Your profile becomes a public page, indexed by search engines and AI assistants, listed on the pages of the countries where you work, in five languages.

Receive requests and send proposals

Travelers message you directly. On any published trip you can also propose your help for the stretch or the countries you know.

Agree the details in the inbox

Price, days, what is included, meeting point. In writing, here, before moving to WhatsApp. It protects you as much as the traveler.

Travel, then get reviewed

Once the trip is over, the traveler can review you from the trip page. Reviews are only ever tied to real trips.

What a strong profile looks like

Three things make the difference between a profile that gets messages and one that does not:

Photo first. A clear photo of you, then the vehicle, then the terrain. Travelers decide in seconds.

Real vehicles with real photos. Travelers want to see what they will be driving behind, or sitting in.

Answers within a day. Guides who reply fast are shown more, and travelers usually write to several guides at once.

A public page for your work, indexed in English, Italian, French, Spanish and Arabic.

Direct requests from travelers, with no agency deciding who gets the client.

Published trips to propose on, from overlanders planning a route through your country.

A link to share on WhatsApp, Instagram and your own site.

The green "Licence verified" badge next to your name, if you add your licence and we find it in the official register of your country (where that register is public).

The Founding Guide badge if you are among the first 200, while it lasts.

Why it is free

Today everything on GuideMeet is free for guides: no subscription, no commission, no placement to buy.

In the future we may consider paid features for guides. Not now. First we want to build the largest online community of guides specialised in overland travel, and that only works if joining costs nothing.

What we ask of you

A profile that tells the truth: name, vehicles, countries, languages, services.

Honest quotes, in writing, in the inbox.

Answers, even when the answer is no.

One profile per person or business. Agencies are welcome, as agencies.

Who GuideMeet is not for

GuideMeet is for overland travel: 4x4, motorcycle, camper and van, bicycle, on tracks and long routes. If you guide city walks, museum visits or trekking without vehicles, this is not the right place and your profile would not be shown. There are better platforms for that work.

What does it cost?

Today, nothing: no subscription, no commission, no placement to buy. If that ever changes, you will hear it from us first.

Why is my profile not on the home page?

Either it is incomplete, and the checklist shows what is missing, or it was hidden after review because it is outside overland travel or duplicated. Fix it and it comes back.

How do I get more requests?

Complete profile, best vehicle photo first, answers within a day, proposals on published trips, and your profile link shared on WhatsApp and Instagram.

Can I list my agency?

Yes, as an agency: agency name, the vehicles it operates, one profile.

Do I need a licence?

Follow the rules of the country where you work. If you have a licence, add it from your profile under "Licences and registrations". Where the official register is public we look it up and, if we find it under your name, you get the green "Licence verified" badge; travelers can also filter guides by it. It is optional, and enter only a licence that is yours.

Can I put prices on my profile?

Not yet. You list your services; the price is agreed with each traveler in the inbox.

How do reviews work?

A traveler can review you once a trip you joined is completed. Reviews from friends or in exchange for discounts are removed.

Built for the terrain

GuideMeet was started in 2021 by overlanders who could not find local guides for the tracks they wanted to drive. It is still built for that: remote routes, real vehicles, direct contact.
