I’m Jean Vos, founder of Waypoint Adventures, and Africa’s back roads have become a huge part of my life. I spend much of my time travelling, exploring new routes and building self-drive 4x4 expeditions across Southern and East Africa.
For me, overlanding isn’t about rushing from one destination to the next. I love the remote tracks, wild places, different cultures, unexpected challenges and the people we meet along the way. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned—navigation, vehicle recovery, bush travel, border crossings and simply finding your way through Africa with confidence.
Rolien and I spend much of our lives on the road, and through Waypoint Adventures we get to share that life with others. We travel in small groups, work as a team and believe some of the best memories are made when the plan changes.
