I’m Lahsan, born in the Sahara, in the Erg Chegaga dunes, and raised with the traditions and knowledge of desert life. Together with the ADN Sahara team, whose members were all born and raised in the Sahara, I invite you to join an 8-day 4x4 expedition through the heart of the Moroccan desert. Growing up in this environment has given us an intimate understanding of its landscapes, traditions and rhythms, knowledge that we are proud to share throughout the journey. I will take you beyond the usual desert routes, following remote tracks across wild landscapes, ancient nomadic territories, hidden valleys and endless dunes that few travelers have the chance to experience. This is not just a 4x4 trip. It is a true Sahara overland expedition, where you discover the desert slowly — through its silence, its stories, its landscapes and the traditions of the people who have lived here for generations. Our team allows us to adapt each journey to the size of the group, while keeping the spirit of a true desert expedition: local knowledge, authentic encounters and a deep connection with the Sahara. 🚙 Day 1 — M’Hamid El Ghizlane → Oued M’Zoumo → Desert Wildlife Area → Erg Bartam Leaving M’Hamid, we enter the Sahara through remote desert tracks. We cross Oued M’Zoumo, a dry riverbed where traces of desert life remain, before reaching the wildlife area near M’Hamid. The journey continues across open desert plains until Erg Bartam, where your first nomadic camp is set among the dunes. 🏜️ Day 2 — Oued Naam → Erg Bougarn We travel deeper into the Sahara through landscapes connected to ancient desert routes. At Erg Bougarn, discover wind-shaped dunes and experience the silence of the desert far from the crowds. 🍲 Desert cuisine is part of the journey During this 8-day expedition, meals become part of the Sahara experience itself. Each day, you share traditional Moroccan food prepared with care: fresh salads, homemade dishes, tagine cooked slowly, grilled brochettes, harira soup, couscous depending on the day, fresh bread prepared in the desert, fruits, dates and Moroccan mint tea shared around the fire. In the middle of the Sahara, meals are moments to slow down, exchange stories and enjoy the simple atmosphere of nomadic life — under the stars, near the fire, surrounded by the silence of the desert. 💧 Fresh bottled mineral water is available throughout the expedition, so you can fully enjoy the journey comfortably and with peace of mind. Lahsan and the ADN Sahara team adapt to different dietary needs and preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, allergies and other specific requests. Simply let us know when booking, and we will prepare the meals accordingly. 🌿 Day 3 — Oum Laalag Oasis → Erg Chigaga We reach Oum Laalag Oasis, a rare green refuge in the middle of the desert, before entering the spectacular dunes of Erg Chigaga. One of Morocco’s most remote Sahara landscapes, where you spend the night surrounded by sand and stars. 🐪 Depending on the conditions and your wishes, a camel ride can also be arranged during the expedition. Experience the Sahara at a slower rhythm, following the traditional way nomadic caravans have crossed these landscapes for centuries. 🌅 Day 4 — Oued Lagtifa → Oued Lbyed → Lake Iriqui → Erg Lmlih Cross desert valleys where life survives beneath the surface, then continue towards Lake Iriqui, a vast dry lake known for its mirages, wildlife and incredible horizons. The day ends at Erg Lmlih for another night in the dunes. 🔥 Day 5 — Oum Tbekkan → Draa Valley → Erg Sedra Follow old desert routes through wells and landscapes shaped by centuries of nomadic movement. Cross the historic Draa Valley before reaching Erg Sedra, your camp under the Sahara sky. 🎶 Day 6 — Erg Smar → Erg Al-Zahar Singing Dunes Discover one of the most fascinating places of the expedition: Erg Al-Zahar, the singing dunes. Here, the movement of the sand creates a rare natural sound — one of the Sahara’s unique mysteries. 🌴 Day 7 — Sidi Naji → El Bour Explore Sidi Naji, a place connected to generations of nomadic history, then continue through landscapes marked by ancient desert life. Final night in the Sahara. 🏁 Day 8 — Return to M’Hamid El Ghizlane We return to M’Hamid, crossing landscapes you now see differently after this journey through the heart of the Sahara.
