Day 1: Arusha → Tarangire National Park Private morning pick-up at 8:30 AM from your Arusha accommodation. Drive south-west to Tarangire National Park. Known as the elephant capital of northern Tanzania, Tarangire features dramatic scenery dotted with colossal baobabs and acacia tortilis trees. Track lion prides stalking zebras and wildebeests along the Tarangire riverbank before heading to your evening camp. Meals: Picnic lunch & gourmet dinner •Overnight: Retreat at Ngorongoro
Day 2: Tarangire → Central Serengeti National Park After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, ascending into the lush Ngorongoro crater rim highlands before entering the endless plains of the Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate. Undertake an afternoon game drive in the game-rich Seronera Valley, famous for its resident big cat populations and picturesque granite kopjes where leopards and lions lounge. Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch & campfire dinner •Overnight: Melia lodge, Four Seasons
Day 3: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area Wake at dawn for an early morning game drive when predators are at their most active, watching lions on the prowl and bat-eared foxes retreating to their dens. Following a late breakfast, embark on a scenic game drive out of the Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area rim, arriving in time to watch the sunset paint the caldera walls in copper and gold. Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch & dinner •Overnight: Melia Ngorongoro or Retreat at Ngorongoro
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Return to Arusha Early morning descent into the UNESCO World Heritage Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy 5 exhilarating hours of game viewing across the caldera floor—a sanctuary harboring over 25,000 large mammals including black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, and vibrant waterbirds at Lake Magadi. Enjoy a picnic lunch by Ngoitoktok Spring before ascending and driving back to Arusha.
