I’m Lahsan, born near M’Hamid El Ghizlane, at the gateway of the Sahara. Together with the ADN Sahara team, I invite you to join a 3-day 4x4 desert expedition through some of the most remote landscapes of southern Morocco, from M’Hamid to the great dunes of Erg Chigaga and Erg Zahar. This journey takes you far beyond the usual desert routes. We follow real Sahara tracks through acacia landscapes, hidden oases, rocky plateaux and endless desert spaces shaped by wind and time. Here, the desert is not simply visited — it is experienced slowly, following its natural rhythm, with local knowledge passed down through generations. 🚙 Day 1 — M’Hamid El Ghizlane → Acacia landscapes → Desert camp We meet in M’Hamid El Ghizlane before leaving the paved roads behind and entering the Sahara tracks. The 4x4 crosses rocky plateaux and open desert landscapes until reaching the acacia areas (Talh), where these remarkable trees survive in the middle of the desert and have supported caravan routes and nomadic life for centuries. The journey continues towards the dunes near M’Hamid, where your first nomadic desert camp is prepared. In the evening, you discover Sahara hospitality around the fire: Moroccan mint tea prepared over the embers, a traditional meal shared together, and your first night beneath the stars of the desert. 🏜️ Day 2 — Oum Lâalag Oasis → Erg Chigaga (Erg Chgaga) We continue deeper into the Sahara by 4x4. We stop at Oum Lâalag Oasis, a rare green refuge hidden in the vast desert, before reaching Erg Chigaga — one of the largest and most remote dune areas in Morocco. Far from roads and villages, you cross the Chegaga dune field, where silence, light and endless horizons create a truly unique desert atmosphere. Your second nomadic camp is set up in the heart of the dunes. 🍲 Food is an important part of the Sahara experience. During the expedition, meals are prepared with care and shared in the spirit of desert hospitality. You will discover traditional Moroccan cuisine: slowly cooked tagine, grilled brochettes prepared over the fire, Moroccan salads, harira soup, couscous depending on the occasion, traditional bread baked in the desert, fresh fruits, dates and of course Moroccan mint tea prepared over the embers. Meals are not just about eating — they are moments of sharing, conversation and connection around the fire under the immense Sahara sky. 💧 Fresh bottled mineral water is available throughout the journey, so you can enjoy your Sahara experience comfortably and with peace of mind. Lahsan and the ADN Sahara team adapt to different dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, allergies and other specific requests. Just let us know when booking, and we will prepare the experience accordingly. 🌅 Day 3 — Erg Zahar → Desert tracks → M’Hamid El Ghizlane We leave the Chegaga dunes and continue through remote Sahara landscapes towards Erg Zahar. Known for its impressive dunes, peaceful atmosphere and endless views, Erg Zahar reveals another unique side of the desert. We then follow desert plains and rocky tracks back towards M’Hamid El Ghizlane.
