TRIP DESCRIPTION: We will start the route at the new airport "Genghis" Khan in Ulaanbaatar (inaugurated on July 3, 2021, located 52 km/32.3 miles, +2 hours of travel), the capital of Mongolia with a reception by the Samar Magic Tours team. This is the great LONG DISTANCE route with more than 2500 km/1553.4 miles. Next, we will head NE to visit the Great Equestrian Statue of Genghis Khan. At the base of the statue, visitors can see the replica of the legendary golden whip of the Great Khan. Tourists can take an elevator inside the statue. The exit is at the height of Genghis Khan's crotch, from where you can walk to the horse's head to see a great panorama of the steppe. We will visit a small Bronze Age museum located in the basement of the Great Equestrian Statue of Genghis Khan. Departure towards Gorkhi/Terelj National Park, located at 1600 m above sea level, with high granitic rocks from the Mesozoic, mountains, steppes, alpine forests, and large rock formations of curious shapes from the Mesozoic such as the Turtle Rock or the Monk Reading the Book, etc. It is located at the foot of the Khenti mountains, the region where Genghis Khan was born.
