Hi, I’m Pablo, from Ecuador. I was born and raised in the Andes, and I’ve spent more than 35 years around wheels, bicycles, motorcycles, and Toyota Land Cruisers (the legendary 60 Series).
My connection with bicycles goes back to the early days of BKR, a bicycle brand and project that has been part of my life. Over the years, I’ve been involved in bicycles not only as a rider, but also in the world of bicycle mechanics, optimization of bicycle frame designs, equipment, routes, and mountain biking itself. I enjoy sharing trails and landscapes that are often far from the usual tourist routes.
I’m also passionate about Toyota Land Cruisers, 4x4 travel, and ovelanding. I’ve traveled through different parts of South America; Ecuador is special because of the variety you can experience in one relatively small country, all connected by spectacular landscapes, local communities, and, of course, great food.
I especially enjoy -slow travel- and off-road adventures: taking the time to visit, explore, eat, talk with local people, enjoy the scenery, and relax. Sometimes the adventure is peaceful and scenic; other times, a rough road, a mountain trail, or a challenging 4x4 section makes things a little more exciting.
