Join Overlanding.CapeTown on the Lion Tag-a-Long Convoy Tour, 12–19 December 2026. Explore the Richtersveld, Augrabies and Kgalagadi in your own suitable 4x4, travelling together with convoy leader Nico. We provide route planning, convoy coordination, logistical support and trip hosting. Participants are responsible for their own driving.
Duration: 8 days. Difficulty: Easy. Suitable 4x4 required for the Richtersveld sections.
TOUR COST R7,900 per person. Bring your own suitable 4x4, or add a rental vehicle for R15,200 extra per vehicle for the tour. The vehicle rental is additional to the per-person tour price.
ITINERARY Saturday 12 December: Meet in Springbok and travel to Brandkaros Camp near the Richtersveld. Sunday 13 December: Brandkaros → Potjiespram, Richtersveld. Monday 14 December: Potjiespram → De Hoop; explore the area. Tuesday 15 December: Exit the Richtersveld; overnight in Okiep. Wednesday 16 December: Okiep → Augrabies. Thursday 17 December: Augrabies → Twee Rivieren, Kgalagadi. Friday 18 December: Twee Rivieren → Mata-Mata. Saturday 19 December: Return to Twee Rivieren for the closing evening.
