The most incredible 4x4 trip you can take aboard your vehicles! Ready to go! A unique journey, selected based on our extensive experience in traveling in Iceland. A complete itinerary that will allow us to visit this wonderful country off the classic tourist routes. Dirt tracks, glaciers, fords, and enchanted camps will be a constant in our adventure. Trip open to a small and close-knit group of explorers. DATES: August 3 – 21, 2027 DURATION: 19 DAYS (from Hirtshals to Hirtshals, Denmark) ACCOMMODATIONS: 2 nights in a hotel in Reykjavik (included in the registration fee), 4 nights on the ferry round trip (not included in the registration fee), 13 nights in huts or camps (to be paid on-site).

Tuesday, August 3 Meeting at the port of Hirtshals (Denmark) at 9:30 AM and boarding the Norrona ship with cabin accommodation.

Wednesday, August 4 Navigation: brief stop at the Faroe Islands (no disembarking), breathtaking landscapes.

Thursday, August 5 8:30 AM Arrival in Seydisfjordur and customs clearance. Outside customs, the group will regroup and we will all head towards Egilsstadir via asphalt, where we will reach the airport to pick up passengers without vehicles or with vehicles on-site. Once we meet our new travel companions, there will be an opportunity to buy some groceries at the local supermarket (very expensive, of course), before heading towards Snaeffels, at the foot of the Vatnajokull volcano, the largest glacier in Europe. Night in a tent or hut for those who wish.

Friday, August 6 We will cross the Kverkfjoll National Park, traversing incredible valleys until we return near the Vatnajokull glacier. In the morning, we will try to make a stop for a bath in a hot spring. Night in a tent near Fjollum.

Saturday, August 7 Early wake-up and we will travel a beautiful track, partly sandy, that will take us to the foot of Askja, a temporarily inactive volcano that has two fairy-tale lakes in its cavities. (Possibility of a three-hour trekking depending on the weather). Night in a tent or hut.

Sunday, August 8 We will follow the northern part of the Vatnajokull glacier – a challenging track not always passable. In case of closure or bad weather, we will follow the track further north.

Monday, August 9 Landmannalaugar: the largest geothermal area in Iceland. The uniqueness of the landscape is given by a series of rhyolite mountains, which make it colorful, and by continuous fumarole areas encountered while walking along the various trails in the area. Night in a tent near the hut.

Tuesday, August 10 Today we will travel one of the most beautiful roads in the world: the F208, which will lead us in the evening to the Valley of Posmork. The fords today will be dozens... from the smallest to the most spectacular. Camping in a tent.

Wednesday, August 11 We will traverse a stunning closed valley nestled between two glaciers. Arrival in Reykjavik in the evening and overnight in a hotel.

Thursday, August 12 Free day in Reykjavik, the northernmost of all capitals. Geothermal hot water abounds underground and the city is heated geothermally, making it one of the greenest cities on the planet. Overnight in a hotel.

Friday, August 13 Today we will be tourists 😊 Even while traveling on secondary roads, we will find ourselves doing what the Icelanders call the "Golden Circle," the route that touches Phingvellir, Geyser, Gulfoss. In the evening, overnight camping near the Hekla volcano.

Saturday, August 14 A rugged track will take us to the summit of the Hekla volcano, from where a two-hour trekking will start (optional and to be evaluated based on the weather). This track could even be closed due to bad weather. In this case, we will limit ourselves to circling the summit of the volcano and reach the cliffs of Vik in the evening (which can be visited that evening or the following morning). Overnight camping or accommodation to be evaluated together based on the weather and timing.

Sunday, August 15 We will leave early, traveling a stretch of the Ring Road, which connects the entire Icelandic perimeter, dotted with wonderful postcards such as the unique waterfalls of Seljalandfoss and Skogafoss. We will continue to Mount Laki, traversing one of the wildest Icelandic tracks. We will do our best to hike up the mountain to see the spectacle of 12 volcanoes lined up one after the other. Endless lava fields, fords, and winding tracks through valleys of green moss will be today's scenery. Night in a tent.

Monday, August 16 Jokulsarlon: We will continue on the ring road to reach the famous Iceberg Beach! A unique spectacle in the world! We will proceed towards Hofn where we will spend the night camping in the center.

Tuesday, August 17 During the day we will arrive again in Egillstadir where we can say goodbye to those who need to return by plane. The late afternoon and evening will be for relaxation, and we will spend it in the surroundings of the city, with overnight camping.

Wednesday, August 18 We will visit some areas nearby and seek relaxation in the nearby hot water pools. Camping in the evening.

Thursday, August 19 At 10:30 AM we will board again towards continental Europe.

Friday, August 20 Navigation.

Saturday, August 21 Arrival at the port of Hirtshals expected at 12:30 PM. Return to Italy independently.
