The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a stunning, less-crowded 12 to 14-day remote trek in Nepal that circles Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters), the world's eighth-highest peak. Route and Key Details • Highest Point: Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters (16,752 ft). • Duration: 12 to 15 days. • Trailhead: Typically starts with a jeep or bus drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (or Soti Khola) and ends at Dharapani/Tilje. • Best Seasons: Autumn (September to November) and Spring (March to May). Requirements • Guides: Independent solo trekking is not allowed; you must hire a licensed Nepal Government Trekking Guide. • Permits: Requires a Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP), Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP) permit, and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permit. • Accommodation: Stays are in local teahouses along the trail.
