Uno dei punti forza di questo nostro Fly and Drive 4x4 in Oman e’ la possibilita’ che offriamo al partecipante di guidare direttamente il 4x4 noleggiato per tutto il viaggio, oppure di viaggiare come passeggero su fuoristrada Organizzazione, per vivere una vacanza unica nel suo genere, immersi in una delle aree piu' remote del nostro pianeta e di rara bellezza !

Il Sultanato dell'Oman Ë storia, ospitalit‡, moschee, forti, parchi naturali, fondali incontaminati, montagne, canyon e deserti. In questo viaggio 4x4 visiteremo il Wadi Shab, uno stretto canyon attraversato da un torrente di acqua cristallina dai riflessi indescrivibili e racchiuso tra altissime pareti rocciose, la cittadina di Sur, affacciata in una scenografica baia naturale dove si potranno osservare ancora i Dhow, le tipiche imbarcazioni omanite che da secoli solcano i loro mari.

Trascorreremo 3 giorni in completa autonomia attraversando il deserto del Wahiba Sands, tra paesaggi senza tempo, ed approntando campi mobili nel suo mare di sabbia, per poi raggiungere i promontori di Ras Ruwais, con le sue dune fossili che si gettano nell’Oceano Indiano, e di Ras Khaluf, formato da un erg di dune bianchissime ribattezzate “le dune di zucchero” .

Durante questi 3 campi tendati mobili, verranno forniti ai partecipanti comode tende auto montanti, coperte, sacchi a pelo, cuscini, materassini o tappeti/coperte omanite, sedie, tavoli, bicchieri e posate. Saranno compresi anche tutti i pasti, preparati dal Catering al seguito del gruppo 4x4, con cibi cucinati sul posto molto variegati. Previsti anche Menu' speciali per vegetariani.

Risalendo verso Nord raggiungeremo l’antica oasi di Nizwa, la "perla dell’Islam", nota per il suo antico forte dalla singolare forma circolare. Percorreremo tortuose strade di montagna che ci condurranno sull’alto Jebel Shams, il Grand Canyon della Penisola Arabica, ed alla scoperta di remoti villaggi, dove si esploreranno profondi canyon, incredibili formazioni rocciose e il famoso sistema di irrigazione dei Falaj che da millenni viene usato nelle piu’ sperdute ed antiche oasi dei Monti Hajar.

Concluderemo il viaggio in bellezza con la visita al souk ed al mercato del pesce di Muscat, un vero salto indietro nel tempo !

One of the highlights of our 4x4 Fly-and-Drive tour in Oman is the choice we offer participants: you can drive the rented 4x4 yourself throughout the journey or travel as a passenger in an organizer-provided vehicle. Either way, it promises a unique holiday experience, immersing you in one of the planet's most remote and breathtakingly beautiful regions.

The Sultanate of Oman is a land of history, hospitality, mosques, forts, nature reserves, pristine waters, mountains, canyons, and deserts. On this 4x4 journey, we will visit Wadi Shab—a narrow canyon enclosed by towering rock walls and traversed by a crystal-clear stream with indescribable shimmering hues—and the town of Sur, overlooking a scenic natural bay where you can still see *dhows*, the traditional Omani boats that have sailed these waters for centuries.

We will spend three days completely self-sufficiently traversing the Wahiba Sands desert amidst timeless landscapes, setting up mobile camps in this sea of ​​sand. We will then reach the headlands of Ras Ruwais—featuring fossil dunes that plunge into the Indian Ocean—and Ras Khaluf, characterized by an *erg* of brilliant white dunes known as the "Sugar Dunes."

For these three mobile camping stops, participants will be provided with comfortable pop-up tents, blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, sleeping mats (or Omani rugs and blankets), chairs, tables, glasses, and cutlery. All meals are included, prepared by the catering team accompanying the 4x4 convoy and featuring a wide variety of dishes cooked on-site; special vegetarian menus are also available.

Heading north, we will reach the ancient oasis of Nizwa—the "Pearl of Islam"—renowned for its historic fort with a unique circular design. We will traverse winding mountain roads leading to the heights of Jebel Shams—the Grand Canyon of the Arabian Peninsula—and discover remote villages, exploring deep canyons, incredible rock formations, and the famous *Falaj* irrigation system, which has been used for millennia in the most secluded, ancient oases of the Hajar Mountains.

We will conclude the journey in style with a visit to the souk and fish market in Muscat—a true step back in time!
