Do you need a local guide in Greece?
Not needed for most trips. No — an EU licence and normal caution cover a trip around Greece. What actually catches overlanders out is camper etiquette: the Ministry of Tourism confirms motorhomes may only stop and park where the Road Traffic Code allows, wild camping is banned nationwide, and a local guide or agency's real value is knowing which islands restrict campers further and where the still-developing official camper stops are.

Why it matters in Greece
